All standard one-to-one sessions are 50 minutes, including individual therapy/counselling, couples therapy/support and men's coaching.
All one-to-one client sessions are currently delivered online. Takween Therapy is not currently offering in-person one-to-one therapy, counselling, couples support or coaching. In-person delivery is presently limited to workshops and community engagement activities.
In-person workshops and community activities are currently offered primarily within London. Other locations across the UK may be considered on a case-by-case basis — please reach out and we can discuss further. Online one-to-one sessions are available across the UK. Adults based outside the UK may also be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on the service, practitioner availability, professional insurance and any relevant local requirements.
Standard one-to-one sessions are 50 minutes. Individual Therapy & Counselling is £49 per session; Men's Coaching & Personal Development is £49 per session; Couples Therapy & Support is £59 per session. Any different fee, package or group-programme arrangement will be clearly agreed separately before booking.
No. Neurodiversity education services are educational only. We offer understanding, practical strategies and family guidance — we do not provide diagnostic or treatment services.
An AI guide, not a person and not a therapist. It exists to point you to the right service or practitioner. It doesn't diagnose, doesn't treat, and doesn't replace a consultation. It is also not a crisis service — if you're in immediate danger it will stop and show you emergency numbers rather than answering.
Individual therapy and counselling are for adults aged 18+ who would like professional support with emotional, psychological, relationship or life difficulties. Couples therapy/support is for adult couples who want help with areas such as communication, conflict, trust, connection or relationship patterns. Men's coaching is a non-therapy service for men looking for greater direction, structure, accountability and personal development. If someone is unsure which service is right for them, we can help them work this out during the free consultation.
Yes. The initial consultation is completely free and lasts around 20 minutes. There is no obligation to book afterwards. It is an introductory conversation rather than a therapy session or diagnostic assessment, and allows us to better understand the person's needs and guide them towards suitable support.
Sessions are commonly held weekly or fortnightly, although frequency can be adjusted depending on the type of support, the client's needs and the practitioner's recommendation. There is no fixed number of sessions. The expected frequency and approach can be discussed during onboarding, and the overall duration is personalised to the client's needs and reviewed as the work progresses.
The fee and payment arrangements will be confirmed before booking. Payment is normally made in advance through Takween Therapy to secure the session, unless another arrangement has been agreed.
If more than 72 hours' notice is given, the session can normally be rescheduled and the payment transferred to the new appointment. Where less than 72 hours' notice is given, the session fee will ordinarily be forfeited and cannot be transferred. Exceptional circumstances may be considered at Takween Therapy's discretion. This does not affect any statutory cancellation rights that apply.
Yes. Clients are welcome to request a particular practitioner or express a preference for a male or female practitioner. We will do our best to accommodate the preference, subject to practitioner availability and suitability for the support being sought. If the client is unsure who to choose, Takween Therapy can recommend a suitable practitioner after the free consultation.
Once we receive an enquiry, we will review the information provided and contact the person to arrange their free 20-minute consultation. We aim to respond within two working days. If the situation is urgent or immediate help is needed, the person should not wait for a response to an enquiry form, as Takween Therapy is not an emergency service.
Yes. We treat what clients share with us as confidential and keep client records securely. Confidentiality is not absolute, however. There may be limited circumstances where information needs to be shared — for example, where there is a serious risk of harm, a safeguarding concern, a legal requirement, or as part of appropriate professional supervision. We explain the limits of confidentiality before support begins and, wherever reasonably possible, discuss any necessary disclosure with the client.
