1. Who we are

This website, takweentherapy.co.uk, is operated by Takween Therapy & Wellbeing (“Takween”, “we”, “us”, “our”), providing therapy, coaching, and wellbeing support. If you have a question about these terms, you can reach us by email at [email protected].

2. Using this website

You’re welcome to browse this site, read our resources, and use our enquiry, workshop-request, and newsletter forms to get in touch with us. Please use these forms honestly and don’t attempt to submit false information, spam, or malicious content. The Takween Helper is a simple guidance tool that suggests a relevant service based on what you type — it does not provide therapy, diagnosis, or professional advice, and nothing you tell it is treated as a clinical record.

3. Not an emergency service

This website, the Takween Helper, and our enquiry and workshop forms are not monitored around the clock and are not an emergency or crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999. If you need to talk to someone urgently, Samaritans are free to call, any time, day or night, on 116 123.

4. Our services

We offer individual therapy (for adults aged 18 and over), couples and relationship support, men’s coaching, parenting and family support, neurodiversity education, and workshops or community sessions. Neurodiversity education is psychoeducational only — we do not provide diagnostic or treatment services as part of it. Details of each service, and the practitioners who deliver them, are set out on our Services and Our Team pages.

5. Booking and cancelling sessions

Every new client begins with a free 20-minute consultation, requested through the enquiry form on our Contact page. There’s no charge and no obligation to book anything further. If you’d like to arrange, reschedule, or cancel a session after that, please email us at [email protected] or use the contact method you agreed with your practitioner, giving as much notice as you can — we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice where possible so the appointment slot can be offered to someone else.

6. Fees

Current session fees are shown on our Services page and are confirmed with you before any paid session is booked. Fees vary by service type and practitioner. Payment is arranged directly with your practitioner ahead of or at the time of each session.

7. Confidentiality

What you discuss with a practitioner is treated as confidential, in line with the professional and ethical standards our practitioners work to. There are limited circumstances where confidentiality may need to be broken without your consent — for example, where there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or where we are required to act by law. Where practical, we will discuss this with you first.

8. Liability

We provide this website and its content, including resources and the Takween Helper, for general information and signposting purposes. While we take care to keep it accurate and up to date, we don’t guarantee it will meet every individual need, and it isn’t a substitute for a full consultation with a practitioner. To the extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for losses arising from reliance on general website content, except where that loss results from our negligence or cannot legally be excluded (such as death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).

9. Intellectual property

The text, design, and resources on this site belong to Takween Therapy & Wellbeing unless otherwise stated, and are made available for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don’t reproduce or redistribute our content without asking us first.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example as our services change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the current version.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute relating to them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
